Psalms 114

An exhortation, by the example of the dumb creatures, to fear God in his Church.

Psalms 114:1 When Israel came out of Egipte, & the house of Iacob from amonge that straunge people. Psalms 114:2 Iuda was his Sactuary, Israel his dominion. Psalms 114:3 The see sawe that, and fled, Iordan turned backe. Psalms 114:4 The mountaynes skipped like rammes, & the litle hilles like yonge shepe. Psalms 114:5 What ayled the (o thou see) that thou fleddest? and thou Iordan, that thou turnedest backe? Psalms 114:6 Ye mountaynes, that ye skipped like rammes? and ye litle hilles, like yonge shepe? Psalms 114:7 The earth trembled at the presence of the LORDE, at the presence of the God of Iacob. Psalms 114:8 Which turned the harde rocke in to a stondinge water, & the flynt stone in to a sprynginge well.
