Matthew 22:9 Go ye therfore out into the hye waies, & as many as ye finde byd them to the mariage. Matthew 22:10 The seruauntes went out into the hye wayes, and gaddered together as many as they could fynde. Both good & bad, and the weddynge was furnyshed with gestes.

Matthew 22:15 Then went the pharises and toke counsell how they myght tangle hym in hys wordes. Matthew 22:16 And they sent vnto hym theyr discyples with Herodes seruauntes sayinge: Mayster, we knowe that thou art true, & teachest the waye of God truely: neither carest for any man, for thou considerest not mennes estate. Matthew 22:17 Tel vs therfor how thinkest thou. Is it lawful to giue tribute vnto Cesar or not? Matthew 22:18 Iesus perceyued theyr wickednes, & sayd: Why tempt ye me ye hypocrites? Matthew 22:19 Let me se the tribute money. And they toke him a peny. Matthew 22:20 And he sayd vnto them: whose is thys ymage & superscripcion? Matthew 22:21 They sayed vnto him: Cesars. Christ confuteth the Sadducees for the resurrection:
Matthew 22:23 The same day the Saduces came to hym (which say that there is no resurreccion) axed him Matthew 22:24 saying: Mayster, Moyses bad, yf a man dye hauyng no chyldren, that the brother marye hys wyfe, and reyse vp seed vnto hys brother. Matthew 22:25 There were with vs seuen brethren, and the fyrst maryed and dyseased without yssue and left hys wyfe vnto his brother. Matthew 22:26 Like wyse the second and the thyrde vnto the seuenth. Matthew 22:27 Last of all the woman dyed also. Matthew 22:28 Nowe in the resurreccyon whose wyfe shall she be of these seuen? For all had her. Matthew 22:29 Iesus answered & sayd vnto them: ye are deceyued and vnderstande not the scriptures, nor yet the power of God. Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they nether marye nor are maryed: but are as the angels in heauen. Matthew 22:31 As touchyng the resurreccion of the dead: haue ye not reade what is sayd vnto you of God which sayth: Matthew 22:32 I am Abrahams God, and Isaacks God. & the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the liuynge. Matthew 22:33 And when the people hearde that, they were astonyed at hys doctrine.

Matthew 22:37 Iesus sayd to him: Loue the Lord thy God with all thyne herte, and with all thy soule, and with al thy mynd. Matthew 22:38 This is the fyrst and the chiefe commaundement. Matthew 22:39 And there is another lyke vnto thys. Loue thy neyghboure as thy selfe. Matthew 22:40 In these two commaundementes hange all the lawe & the Prophetes.

Matthew 22:41 Whyle the pharyses were gaddered together. Iesus axed them Matthew 22:42 saying: what thynke ye of Christ? Whose sonne is he? They sayed vnto him: the sonne of Dauid. Matthew 22:43 He sayed vnto them: how then doeth Dauid in sprite, call him Lorde, sayenge: Matthew 22:44 The Lorde sayed to my Lord sit on my righthande: tyl I make thyne enemyes thy fotestole. Matthew 22:45 If Dauid call hym Lorde, how is he than hys sonne? Matthew 22:46 And none coulde aunswere hym agayne one worde, neyther durste any from that daye forth axe him any more question.
