Nehemiah 12:1 These are the priestes & Leuytes that wente vp with Zorobabell the sonne of Salathiell & wyth Iesua: Saraiah, Ieremye, Esdras, Nehemiah 12:2 Amariah, Meluth, Hatus Nehemiah 12:3 Sechaniah, Rehum, Merimoth, Nehemiah 12:4 Ado, Genthoi, Abiah, Nehemiah 12:5 Miamin, Maadiah, Belgah, Nehemiah 12:6 Semaiah, Ioiarib, Iadaiah, Nehemiah 12:7 Salu, Amok, Helkiah and Iadaiah. These were the heades amonge the priestes and their brethren in the tyme of Iesua.

Nehemiah 12:8 The Leuites were these: Iesua, Bennui, Cadmiel, Sarabiah, Iuda and Mathaniah ouer the offyce of thankesgeuyng, they and theyr brethren: Nehemiah 12:9 Backbukiah and Vni and theyr brethren, were about them in the watches.

Nehemiah 12:12 And in the tyme of Ioakim were these the chefe fathers amonge the priestes: vnder Saraiah Maraiah, vnder Ieremy Hananiah, Nehemiah 12:13 vnder Esdras Mosolam, vnder Amariah Iehoanan, Nehemiah 12:14 vnder Milico Ionathan, vnder Sebaniah Ioseph, Nehemiah 12:15 vnder Harim Edna, vnder Maraioth Helcai, Nehemiah 12:16 vnder Adia Zachari, vnder Genthon Mosolam, Nehemiah 12:17 vnder Abia Zechri, vnder Miniamin & Moadia Peltai, Nehemiah 12:18 vnder Belgah Samua, vnder Semeiah Iehonathan, Nehemiah 12:19 vnder Ioiarib Mathnai, vnder Iadaiah Vsi, Nehemiah 12:20 vnder Selai Kelai, vnder Amok Eber, Nehemiah 12:21 vnder Helchiah Hasabiah, vnder Iadaiah Nathanael.

Nehemiah 12:22 And in the tyme of Eliasib. Ioiada, Iohanan & Iadua were the cheif fathers amonge the Leuytes, and the prestes wrytten vnder þe raygne of Darius the Persian. Nehemiah 12:23 The chyldren of Leui the princypall fathers were written in the Cronycles, vntyll the tyme of Ionathan the sonne of Eliasib. Nehemiah 12:24 And these were the chefe amonge the Leuytes, Hasabiah, Serebiah and Iesua the sonne of Cadmiel, and theyr brethren ouer agaynste them, to geue prayse and thankes, according as Dauid the man of God had ordeyned it, one watche ouer agaynst another Nehemiah 12:25 Mathania, Balbukiah, Obadiah, Mosolam, Talmon and Abub were porters in þe watche at the thresholdes of the gates. Nehemiah 12:26 These were in the tyme of Ioiakim the sonne of Iesua þe sonne of Iosedec, and in the tyme of Nehemiah the captayne and of the prieste Esdras the scrybe.

Nehemiah 12:27 And in the dedycacyon of the wall at Ierusalem, were the Leuytes soughte oute of all theyr places, that they myghte be broughte to Ierusalem, to kepe the dedicacyon and gladnesse, with thankesgeuynges, wyth syngyng with Cymbales, Psalteries and harpes. Nehemiah 12:28 And the chyldren of the syngers gathered them selues together from the playne countreye aboute Ierusalem, and from the vyllages of Nethophathi, Nehemiah 12:29 and from the house of Galgal, and out of the feldes of Geba and Asmaueth: for the syngers had buylded them vyllages aboute Ierusalem. Nehemiah 12:31 And I caused the princes of Iuda to go vp vpon the wall, and appoynted two greate queers of thankesgeuynge, whiche wente on the ryghte hande of the wall towarde þe Dong gate, Nehemiah 12:32 and after them wente Hosaiah, and half of the princes of Iuda, Nehemiah 12:33 & Asaria, Esdras, Mosolam Nehemiah 12:34 Iuda, Ben Iamin, Semeiah and Ieremy, Nehemiah 12:35 and certayne of the priestes chyldren wyth trompettes, namely Zachary the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Semeiah, the sonne of Mathaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zecur, the sonne of Asaph, Nehemiah 12:36 and hys brethren, Semeiah, Asarael, Melalai, Galalai, Maai Nathanael and Iuda and Hanani, wyth the musicall instrumentes of Dauid the man of God. And Esdras the Scrybe before them, Nehemiah 12:37 towarde the wellgate, and they went vp ouer agaynste them vpon the steppes of the cytie of Dauid at the goynge vp of the wall to the house of Dauid, vnto the watergate Eastewarde. Nehemiah 12:38 The other queer of thankesgeuynge went ouer agaynste them, and I after them, & the halfe parte of the people vpon the wall, towarde the Fornacegate vpwarde, vntyll the brode wall, Nehemiah 12:39 and to the porte of Ephraim, and to the oldegate, and to the Fyshgate, and to the tower of Hananeel, and to the tower of Meah, vntyll the shepegate. And in the presongate stode they styll, Nehemiah 12:40 and so stode the two queers of thankesgeuynge of the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers wyth me, Nehemiah 12:41 and the priestes, namelye Eliakim, Maasiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zachary, Hananiah with trompettes, Nehemiah 12:42 and Maasiah Semeiah, Eleasar, Vrsi, Iehohanan, Melchiah, Elam and Ser. And the syngers sang loud & Iestahiah was the ouerseer. Nehemiah 12:43 And the same daye were there greate sacrifyces offered, and they reioysed: for God had geuen them greate gladnesse, so that both the wyues & chyldren were ioyfull, & the myrthe of Ierusalem was hearde farre of.

Nehemiah 12:44 At the same tyme were there men appoynted ouer the treasure chestes (wherein were þe heaueofferynges, the fyrste lynges and the tythes) that they shulde gather them oute of the feldes aboute the cytyes, to destrybute them vnto the pristes and Leuytes accordynge to þe lawe: for Iuda was glad of the priestes, and Leuytes, that they stode and wayted Nehemiah 12:45 vpon the offyce of theyr God, and the offyce of the purificacion. And the singers and porters stode after the commaundement of Dauid and of Salomon hys sonne: Nehemiah 12:46 for in the tyme of Dauid and Asaph, were the chefe syngers founded, and the songes of prayse and thankesgeuynge vnto God. Nehemiah 12:47 In the tyme of Zorobabel and Nehemiah, dyd all Israel, geue porcyons vnto the syngers and porters, euerye daye his porcyon, and they gaue thynges halowed vnto the Leuytes, and the Leuites gaue thinges that were sanctyfyed, vnto the chyldren of Aaron.
