Psalms 48:1 {A songe of a Psalme of the chyldren of Corah.} Greate is the Lorde & hyely too be praysed, in the cytye of oure God, euen vpon hys holy hyl. Psalms 48:2 The hyll of Syon is lyke a fayre plante, whereof all the lande reioyseth: vpon the north side lyeth the cytye of the great kyng. Psalms 48:3 God is well knowen in her palaces, that he is the defence of the same. Psalms 48:4 For lo, kynges are gathered, and gone by together. Psalms 48:5 They marueled, to se suche thynges: they were astonied, and sodenly cast doune. Psalms 48:6 Feare came there vpon them, and sorow as vpon a woman in her trauayle. Psalms 48:7 Thou shalt breake the shyppes of the sea, thorow the East wynde. Psalms 48:8 Lyke as we haue herde, so se we in the cytye of the Lord of hoostes, in the citie of oure God. God vpholdeth the same for euer. Selah. Psalms 48:9 We wayte for thy louynge kyndnesse (O God) in the middest of thy temple. Psalms 48:10 O God, according vnto thy name, so is thy praise vnto the worldes ende: thy right hande is full of righteousnes. Psalms 48:11 Oh let the mount Sion reioyse, and the daughters of Iuda be glad because of iudgementes. Psalms 48:12 Walke about Sion, go rounde about her and tell her towres. Psalms 48:13 Marke well her walles, sette vp her houses. that it may be tolde them that come after. Psalms 48:14 For this God is our God for euer & euer, and he shall alwaye be oure guyde.
