Psalms 61

David fleeth to God upon his former experience.

Psalms 61:1 {To þe chaunter vpon Neginoth, of Dauid} Heare my crying (O god) geue hede vnto my prayer. Psalms 61:2 From the endes of þe earth will I call vnto the, when my herte is in trouble: Psalms 61:3 Oh sette me vp vpon an hye rocke. For thou art my hope, a strong tower for me agaynst the enemye.

He voweth perpetual service unto him, because of his promises.

Psalms 61:4 I wyll dwell in thy tabernacle for euer, that I maye be safe vnder the couerynge of thy wynges. Selah. Psalms 61:5 For thou, O Lord, hast harde my desyres, thou hast geuen an heretage vnto those that feare thy name. Psalms 61:6 Thou shalte graunte the Kynge a longe lyfe, that his yeares may endure thorow out all generacyons. Psalms 61:7 That he maye dwel before God for euer: Oh let thy louynge mercy and faythfulnes preserue hym. Psalms 61:8 So wyl I al away syng prayses vnto thy name, þt I may dayly perfourme my vowes.
