Psalms 98

The psalmist exhorteth the Jews,

Psalms 98:1 {A Psalme.} O synge vnto the Lorde a new song, for he hath done maruelous thynges. With hys owne ryght hande and with his holy arme hathe he gotten the victory. Psalms 98:2 The lord hath declared his sauyng health & hys righteousnes hathe he openly shewed in the sight of the Heathen. Psalms 98:3 He hath remembred his mercy and trueth towarde the house of Israel: so that all þe endes of the worlde, se the sauing health of our God.

the Gentiles,

Psalms 98:4 Shewe youre selfes ioyfull vnto the Lorde all ye landes, synge, reioyse, and geue thanckes. Psalms 98:5 Prayse the Lordes, vpon the harpe, synge to the harpe wyth a psalme of thanckesgeuynge Psalms 98:6 With trompettes also and shawmes: O shewe youre selues ioyfull before the Lorde the kynge.

and all creatures to praise God.

Psalms 98:7 Let the sea make a noyse and all that therin is, yea the whole worlde, and al that dwel therein. Psalms 98:8 Let the floudes clappe their handes, and let al the hylles be ioyful together. Psalms 98:9 Before the Lorde, for he is come to iudge the earth. Yea wyth ryghtuousnes shall he iudg the worlde, and the people wyth equyte.
